AMD invited Bud Ecosystem to Advancing AI – India 2026, its flagship AI leadership event, held on 9–10 October 2026 at the JW Marriott, Nandi Hills, Bengaluru. The event's theme was what comes next for enterprise AI, and AMD gave Bud a slot to present the Bud Novaria AI Operating System to the senior technology leaders in the room.
A Bud case study on the AMD main stage
During his keynote, Derek Dicker, AMD's Corporate Vice President of Enterprise Business, used Bud as a case study: Bud Ecosystem Pioneers Innovative New Indic LLM with AMD. The presentation covered Hex-1, India's first open-source Indic large language model, which Bud trained on AMD Instinct™ MI300X GPUs and the AMD ROCm™ software stack through Microsoft Azure.
Two numbers led the slide. Training ran 20–30% faster on Bud AI OS, and the run needed 40% fewer GPUs than other platforms required for the same job. The resulting 4-billion-parameter model outperformed larger models on Indic-language MMLU benchmarks. The full background is in our earlier announcement on joining the AMD Instinct AI & HPC Software Ecosystem.
From infrastructure to business outcomes
AMD and Bud work on two halves of the same problem. AMD builds the compute that enterprise AI runs on. Bud Novaria is the operating system above it: one stack that brings together the layers needed to build, deploy, govern, operate and scale AI across an enterprise, from GPU scheduling and inference at the bottom to agents and applications at the top. Together, the two cover the path from the infrastructure that runs AI to the applications that deliver business outcomes.
That was the message of Bud's session. Enterprises in the room are moving from pilots to production, and most of the friction they describe sits between the hardware and the use case: separate tools for serving, guardrails, model management and agents, each with its own console and its own bill. Bud Novaria replaces that patchwork with one natively integrated system that runs on AMD Instinct accelerators as well as on CPUs and other hardware.
Part of the AMD partner ecosystem
Bud attended as one of AMD's ecosystem partners, listed on the event's partner board alongside Devnagri, Nokia, HPE Juniper Networking, DriveNets and Arista. As an AMD ecosystem partner, Bud is working with AMD to make enterprise AI more accessible, more scalable and more practical to run, whether the deployment is on-premises, in the cloud or part of a sovereign AI program.
About Bud Ecosystem
Bud Ecosystem builds Bud Novaria, the hardware-agnostic AI operating system for enterprise and sovereign AI, and Bud Gaia, a personal AI operating system for devices. Bud runs AI workloads across GPUs, CPUs, HPUs and NPUs, and works with technology partners including AMD, Intel, Microsoft, Infosys and NxtGen. The company has operations in the US and India.
